On March 12, 2010 grade 9 student Kate Gibbs will be proudly representing Invermere when she carries the Olympic Torch in the Paralympics Torch Relay in Vancouver.

Following the opening ceremonies Katie and her best friend Grace from Fernie were chosen along with 22 other British Columbian students to be student reporters and photographers at the Paralympics Games.

Kate is thrilled to be a part of this international event.  She can’t wait to cover the Alpine skiing, ice sledding, hockey and wheelchair curling events.
