The English department at Golden Secondary is one of the core subject departments.  The students work on developing the skills they will need outside the school system.  Grade 8 students work on refining their basic writing and reading skills, and this skill development continues until Grade 12, where students work on their literary inferencing and interpretation skills, using a variety of techniques from short story writing, group projects to independent literary criticism essays.
