Iris Trask,
Principal

Iris has been Principal of GSS since the fall of 2005 and was Vice Principal for three years before that. She has been on staff of the school since 1995, working as a Special Education teacher prior to becoming Principal. Her teaching background includes the areas of Special Education, Drama, Choir, English and Elementary Music. She has taught in Prince George, Stikine, and Rocky Mountain School Districts. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Calgary. Iris believes strongly in the school mission statement: "Every student at Golden Secondary School will walk the Graduation stage with purpose, dignity and options."

Barry Johnson,
Vice Principal

Barry has been a Vice Principal at GSS since the fall of 2004. He is an experienced teacher, Vice-Principal and Principal within Alberta elementary and secondary schools. Teaching experiences include secondary level Art, Social Studies and English, as well as seven years as an elementary classroom teacher. In addition to his administrative duties, Mr. Johnson is the Art teacher at Golden Secondary School.
