Iris Trask, Principal
Iris has been Principal of GSS since the fall of 2005 and was Vice Principal for three years before that. She has been on staff of the school since 1995, working as a Special Education teacher prior to becoming Principal. Her teaching background includes the areas of Special Education, Drama, Choir, English and Elementary Music. She has taught in Prince George, Stikine, and Rocky Mountain School Districts. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, both from the University of Calgary. Iris believes strongly in the school mission statement: "Every student at Golden Secondary School will cross the graduation stage with purpose, dignity and options."
