PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE FOR MAY

"Every student at Selkirk Secondary School is an important part of the school community and will be actively engaged in learning activities that promote discovery and empowerment."
Another month has flown by as has much of the school year! It is great to see the Spring activities at school and around town that are marked by the longer days and warmer weather. April saw the transition into Spring sports with our girls soccer team, golf team, rugby team, and baseball team beginning their seasons. Thanks to all of the coaches for the time they put into coaching these teams! This months newsletter highlights many of April’s activities such as our Spring Dance which featured the Good Ol Goats, a cultural performance by Metaphor, a hip hop group, and a pep rally on Daffodil Day for Jenna Homeniuk. May promises to be another exciting month as we head into the final two months of the school year!

Cinderella's closet

Cinderella's Closet

We are looking for donations of prom dresses/suits so that we can enhance our “Cinderella Closet” at Selkirk Secondary. The idea behind this initiative is to provide an opportunity for all students (and dates) to attend Prom. In the past it has been difficult for some students to purchase a dress/suit and this may provide a nice option. We ask that the clothing be in good condition and have been dry cleaned. If you have a dress, please bring it to Selkirk School or contact Jen Quigley. Thank you for your support!

Storm Wear

Selkirk PAC is pleased to announce that they will soon be selling a variety of Storm wear. A display case will be set up at the school and order forms will soon be available in the office.
