Rocky Mountain International Student Program

The International Student Program in School District No. 6 is one of the oldest and most highly-regarded in Canada. Selkirk Secondary School has been hosting students from around the world since 1983. There are 30+ students in the program for the 2009-10 school year from Spain, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, Holland, Korea, India and Mexico.

Study Abroad at Selkirk Secondary School

Selkirk hosts international students with a wide range of personal goals. Graduation Track is Selkirk International's most popular program. Participating students attend Selkirk for Grades 10, 11 and 12 and are rewarded with the British Columbia Ministry of Education's world-renowned Dogwood Diploma. Shorter-term programs focus on cultural immersion and English language acquisition and are available to individual students and groups. The Program Participation Form for the 2009/10 school year is available for download below. Both you and a parent must sign this document prior to the beginning your study abroad experience at Selkirk as part of the Rocky Mountain International Student Program.
