Welcome

The Columbia Basin Environmental Education Network (CBEEN) welcomes you to Wild Voices for Kids (WVFK), an environmental and heritage education program that provides K-12 teachers throughout the Columbia Basin with FREE, curriculum-linked classroom presentations and field trips designed to enrich their students' learning. The variety of WVFK presentations is extensive, ranging from a tracking field trip with a wildlife biologist or birding expeditions with local ornithologists, to a classroom visit by Little Red Riding Hood complete with an actual wolf or presentations on the flora, fauna and culture of Canada's Arctic regions. Our database of presenters continues to grow, so check back often for new and exciting programs.

This website will easily guide you through the process of finding and booking a presentation to suit your needs. WVFK is now available in school districts #5 (Southeast Kootenay), #6 (Rocky Mountain), #19 (Revelstoke), # 8 (Kootenay Lake), #20 (Kootenay Columbia) and #10 (Arrow Lakes) in the Columbia Basin. Please note that each school district has its own list of presenters and booking procedures - follow instructions carefully to ensure an excellent experience for both you and your students.

CBEEN is a network of and for environmental education professionals, committed to enhancing environmental education in the Columbia Basin through information and resource sharing, and the coordination of networking and professional development opportunities.
