PLEASE COME TO THE AGM ON MONDAY 24 SEPTEMBER and participate in electing your new PAC board for 2018/19. APES Library, 3:15pm, childcare provided in the gym, and light snack provided in the gym too. The PAC is the Parent Advisory Council - the place where parents collectively can raise issues with the school and the school can consult with parents. It is also the organisation that raises money through grant applications and fundraising activities for extra curricular activities AND determines how to spend that money. We need new members on the PAC and all parents/guardians of children in APES are entitled to be on the council board, and to vote for members on the council. We need at least 3 council board members to continue to be eligible for BC Gaming grants which has been used to fund skating and swimming activities. Consider volunteering for the PAC. Each role takes only a couple of hours a month. More info about PAC is on the noticeboard in the hallway and on the PAC website at apes.hotlunches.net. Thanks, Sheelagh England PAC President 2017/18
