Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is now accepting applications for the role of temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE) Acting Vice Principal at École Lady Grey Elementary School (Grades 4 -7). This educational leadership role is effective August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026.

 

Located in the picturesque town of Golden, British Columbia, École Lady Grey Elementary School is located on the unceded traditional lands of the Ktunaxa and Secwépemc Peoples, and the home of the Métis Nation Columbia River Society. Lady Grey is a grade 4 to 7 school with a population of 230 students. Our school offers a mid-entry French Immersion Program, which begins in Grade 4.

At Lady Grey, we strive to meet the needs of all students. We value collaboration and teamwork, community (including our environment), respect, and kindness. We promote student leadership and encourage students to participate in the various clubs offered at school such as CirKidz, Lego Club, and various sports clubs.

The staff at École Lady Grey Elementary School are a group of reflective practitioners, that work together to support students. We recognize and accept our responsibility to teach Truth and Reconciliation, including the Calls to Action, in our classrooms.

L’École Lady Grey comporte environ 230 élèves de la 4ième à la 7ième année. Notre école offre un programme d’immersion tardive débutant en 4ième année.

We invite applications from candidates with effective teaching and leadership experience in an Elementary school, a service oriented and student-centered philosophy, and a strong commitment to professional growth. A master’s degree in administration, leadership, curriculum or other related area is expected to be completed or in progress. The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for a BC Teachers Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch.
