The Rocky Mountain School District wishes to share the following leadership staffing update for J. Alfred Laird Elementary School, in Invermere, B.C: 

Recently the school district received news of the pending retirement of leadership team member Kari Mason. Starting in 2015 as Learning Services Teacher, Kari has served as the District Vice Principal, Learning Support Services for Rocky Mountain School District for the past number of years and more recently as Vice Principal at J. Alfred Laird Elementary School.  Kari’s compassionate approach, along with her unwavering commitment to Inclusive Education has had a positive and lasting impact across the district. Her leadership has shaped the lives of countless students and fostered environments where learners felt safe, valued and empowered. The school district wishes Kari every success in retirement and thank you!

With Kari’s news, the Rocky Mountain School District will be posting a Vice Principal position at J. Alfred Laird Elementary, with a start date anticipated to be August 1, 2025.
