Rocky Mountain School District would like to share that Amanda Garand, Human Resources Manager, will be stepping down from her role to take on a new position as Director of Labour Relations with the British Columbia Public School Employers’ Association (BCPSEA).
In this new provincial role, Amanda will support labour relations and human resources services for unionized teaching and support staff across multiple school districts, including Rocky Mountain School District.
Since joining our district in 2018, Amanda has built a dynamic and effective Human Resources team. Her leadership has strengthened recruitment practices, employee and supervisor relations, and labour relations. She has been a valued member of the District’s Senior Team, known for her collaborative leadership, commitment to staff, and sense of humour—all of which will be greatly missed.
Amanda’s last day with Rocky Mountain School District will be October 31, 2025.
In the interim, Human Resources responsibilities will be supported by the Assistant Superintendent, the HR team, and the Finance team to ensure continuity of service for staff and schools.
We congratulate Amanda on this exciting opportunity and thank her for her years of service to Rocky Mountain School District. Please join us in wishing her every success in her new role with BCPSEA.
