Selkirk Secondary School's Grade 10-12 Outdoor Education students had three amazing days at Kootenay Pass. The student’s experienced winter travel in the mountains, sleeping outside, as well as practicing their avalanche safety skills. The backcountry is a rich learning environment - there were so many experiences that provided challenges and opportunities for personal growth. New friendships were made and many students learned how capable they are of overcoming challenges.
