JP Delos Santos winner of KAST Kootenay Contraption Contest

The District would like to congratulate JP Delos Santos from Laird on recently winning the grand prize and Grade 6 Classroom Winner of the 2021 Kootenay Contraption Contest put on by the Kootenay Association for Science and Technology (KAST).

Students were asked, "What contraption will you create to help improve your life in this new warmer climate?"

JP designed Temperature Clothes which are double-layered clothing that could keep you cool during hot temperatures, and warm in cold temperatures. JP won an Ozobot for himself, and a STEAM kit for his class.

Congratulations JP on your ingenuity and perseverance in completing this design challenge!
