Pink Shirt Day is February 28, 2024

Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when a student in Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. It has since been recognized annually worldwide as a day to stand against bullying.

Pink Shirt Day also recognizes diversity and celebrates different cultures and identities by promoting kindness, acceptance, and respect for everyone.

Next week, on February 28, our students and staff throughout the District will wear pink to stand up against bullying.  Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is committed to bullying prevention and supporting students throughout the year.

If you are someone you know is being bullied please reach out to a trusted adult in your school or you can report it directly through the ERASE reporting tool.  The ERASE Report It tool is an online, anonymous reporting tool where students can report anything they find worrisome or concerning directly to their school/school district’s safe school coordinators. The reporting tool can be accessed at erasereportit.gov.bc.ca.
