On National Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Windermere Elementary School students all wore matching Every Child Matters t-shirts. Ms. Niddrie and Ms. Stevens and a group of Grade 4/5 students created the design and the vision for these shirts. The video is powerful with the group sharing their thinking about the symbolism in the design, reconciliation, and Indigenous culture. This video illustrates the important work that is being done in the District towards Truth and Reconciliation in our schools.
