Today is the final day of White Cane Week 2023.  

This important week raises public awareness of the challenges facing Canadians living with vision loss. Events are held across Canada that focus on demonstrating the abilities – not disabilities- of people living with vision loss.

Recently, one of our students was using his white cane during an orientation and mobility lesson.  

When asked about why his white cane is important to him, he said, "I use my cane to help me find things like steps, ramps, drop offs, and ice.  It helps me when I go explore new places".
